Sam's Seafood Steakhouse was established in 2009 under Sam Vahaviolos and his family in an pursuit to grow their presence in our historic town of Johnstown and accomplish his dream of becoming a restaurant owner, creating his own twist on dining.
Originally manager of Romana's Italian Kitchen, right up the road and his first business, Sam decided to purchase the building formerly known as Ponderosa to create his new establishment on the Johnstown strip. Owning and operating restaurants and his marinara business prior to Sam's, he knew how to create a unique experience that would draw customers back for time and time again. Sam set out to create something of variety as compared to his prior restaurants which focused on exquisite Italian cuisines.

Giving the responsibility of Romana's to his son Dino, Sam set out to renovate his new location and create what we now know as Sam's Seafood Steakhouse, an elegant location perfect for fine dining and family nights out combined. The Adirondack bar located right inside the restaurant is host to many live performances and variety of cocktails that create the perfect environment for relaxation and enjoyment. |
